Transnational Project Meeting Held in France

The first Transnational Project Meeting of the LANGUAGE ACQUISITION SUPPORT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM project was held in Strasbourg, France, on 06–07 April 2025. Organized at 3 rue Toreau, the meeting brought together all partner institutions to review the project framework, clarify responsibilities, and plan the next phases of the 24-month Erasmus+ KA220-YOU initiative.

Representatives from the Turkish Language Association, Gazi University, the Söğütönü Intelligence and Social Development Association, the Strasbourg Attaché of Education of the Consulate of Türkiye, and the Information and Technology Management Association (Portugal) participated in the session. The meeting officially began with the opening speech of Harun Şahin, Vice President of the Turkish Language Association. Following the introductory remarks, partner institutions delivered short presentations highlighting their roles, expertise areas, and contributions to the project.

During the technical sessions, the project team reviewed the planned development of the OBİ-DİL software, which aims to support language acquisition processes of individuals with autism through innovative digital tools. Detailed explanations regarding project outcomes, budget use, implementation guidelines, and expected milestones were presented. Partners also discussed the structure of upcoming work packages, including content development, software specifications, and pilot-testing phases.

A dedicated opinion and consultation segment allowed partners to exchange views, offer recommendations, and establish bilateral agreements for operative collaboration. One of the key decisions of the meeting was determining the Learning, Teaching and Training (LTT) activity city, the participant profile, and the preliminary content of the training program. In addition, tentative dates for both the next TPMs and LTT sessions were agreed upon.

The meeting concluded with the preparation and signing of the official minutes, confirming the collective commitment to advancing innovative, technology-supported language learning opportunities for individuals with autism across Europe.

The next phase of the project will focus on coordinated development tasks and the preparation of the upcoming LTT event, with the next TPM expected to take place in Portugal.
