The Learning–Teaching–Training (LTT) activity titled “Language Acquisition Support for Individuals with Autism,” organized within the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU project 2024-1-TR01-KA220-YOU-000254554 and supported by the Turkish National Agency, was successfully carried out in Ankara between 28 November and 2 December.

Coordinated by the Turkish Language Institution (TDK), the program brought together representatives from Gazi University, Söğütözü Social Development and Intelligence Association, the Strasbourg Education Attaché of France, and the Information and Technology Management Association (ITMA) of Portugal.

Hosted at the TDK Headquarters, the activity provided a platform for cross-country knowledge exchange on language acquisition practices for individuals with autism. Participants examined national policies, educational approaches, and support mechanisms implemented in Türkiye, France, and Portugal. The sessions also showcased effective methods in language instruction, AAC-supported communication practices, early intervention systems, and inclusive learning strategies.

The event strengthened international collaboration among partner institutions and laid the groundwork for the development of upcoming project outputs, including need analysis reports, training modules, digital tools, educational materials, and policy recommendations aimed at improving language and communication support for autistic children and young people.
